Novel oral presentations: 7- 10 minutes - Speaking 25%

The purpose of this assignment is to inform your audience about some aspects of your novel, its author and the literary trend or genre it represents. The task is NOT meant to give a biography or a plot summary. You should carefully choose a thesis in which you link three or four main points of your choice. See the posting 'Writing a literary essay' on this blog. You can research your novel on the Web - wikipedia, for example - but you must cite your sources. Make your presentation as interesting as possible. Be imaginative. See me for ideas. Presentations will take place over three classes starting the week of April 17. Each time you miss your turn, there will be a penalty of 10% of the grade.
